I've got the New Race album also, great stuff. Tomd is right, both Citadel and Redeye have "Radios Appear" and "Living Eyes", definitely worth picking up. I also recently imported the first 6 CCR remasters by Steve on vinyl. If you like either The Stooges, MC5, New York Dolls, Velvets, Blue Oyster Cult or garage rock you should check these guys out.Īs an interesting aside, two of the members of the band are Doctors (Deniz Tek : Guitarist\Song writer and Pip Hoyle : Keyboards).
The Velvet Underground are my favorite band of all time but Radio Birdman are No. Sub-pop also released a compilation last year called "Essential" on both vinyl and CD which is well worth tracking down.
They released 2 albums "Radios Appear" and "Living Eyes". Both live and on record they were\are amazing. I saw this band many times in the 70's as well as last year when they reformed for a short tour here in Australia. This band formed in Australia in the mid 70's and played Detroit\Garage inspired rock. Anyway I was wondering whether anyone here is a fan (heard of) Radio Birdman.
